Note on cubic symmetric graphs of order 2pn

چکیده
Let p be a prime and n a positive integer. In [J. Austral. Math. Soc. 81 (2006), 153–164], Feng and Kwak showed that if p > 5 then every connected cubic symmetric graph of order 2p is a Cayley graph. Clearly, this is not true for p = 5 because the Petersen graph is non-Cayley. But they conjectured that this is true for p = 3. This conjecture is confirmed in this paper. Also, for the case when p = 2, we prove a slightly more general result, that is, every connected cubic vertex-transitive graph of order a power of 2 is a Cayley graph.

Cubic symmetric graphs of orders $36p$ and $36p^{2}$
A graph is textit{symmetric}, if its automorphism group is transitive on the set of its arcs. In this paper, we classifyall the connected cubic symmetric graphs of order $36p$ and $36p^{2}$, for each prime $p$, of which the proof depends on the classification of finite simple groups.
متن کاملA NOTE ON THE COMMUTING GRAPHS OF A CONJUGACY CLASS IN SYMMETRIC GROUPS
The commuting graph of a group is a graph with vertexes set of a subset of a group and two element are adjacent if they commute. The aim of this paper is to obtain the automorphism group of the commuting graph of a conjugacy class in the symmetric groups. The clique number, coloring number, independent number, and diameter of these graphs are also computed.
متن کاملClassifying pentavalnet symmetric graphs of order $24p$
A graph is said to be symmetric if its automorphism group is transitive on its arcs. A complete classification is given of pentavalent symmetric graphs of order 24p for each prime p. It is shown that a connected pentavalent symmetric graph of order 24p exists if and only if p=2, 3, 5, 11 or 17, and up to isomorphism, there are only eleven such graphs.

A graph is s-regular if its automorphism group acts regularly on the set of its s-arcs. In this paper, we classify the s-regular elementary Abelian coverings of the three-dimensional hypercube for each s ≥ 1 whose fibre-preserving automorphism subgroups act arc-transitively. This gives a new infinite family of cubic 1-regular graphs, in which the smallest one has order 19 208. As an application...
متن کاملA note on Fouquet-Vanherpe’s question and Fulkerson conjecture
The excessive index of a bridgeless cubic graph $G$ is the least integer $k$, such that $G$ can be covered by $k$ perfect matchings. An equivalent form of Fulkerson conjecture (due to Berge) is that every bridgeless cubic graph has excessive index at most five. Clearly, Petersen graph is a cyclically 4-edge-connected snark with excessive index at least 5, so Fouquet and Vanherpe as...
